A Dubai oil & gas EPC infrastructure project is recruiting HSE Managers, HSE Engineers, HSE Supervisors and HSE Officers, with the final client interview scheduled in Mumbai on 29 August 2026. The vacancy includes 5 HSE Manager, 10 HSE Engineer, 20 HSE Supervisor and 30 HSE Officer positions. Salary will be based on field experience. Candidates must have 4–6 years of core HSE experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry and must be 22–45 years old. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has proposed a new $103,265 fee on every cap-subject H-1B petition, with the proposal scheduled for publication in the Federal Register on August 25, 2026. The fee is not final and is not yet in effect. The proposal would cover both the regular 65,000 H-1B cap and the separate 20,000 exemption for U.S. master's degree holders. Cap-exempt petitions, including those for universities, affiliated nonprofits and government research organizations, would not be covered by this proposal. The proposed $103,265 fee is separate from the existing $100,000 H-1B proclamation fee, which is currently in litigation. If both measures ultimately remain applicable, employers could potentially face both charges. A 30-day public comment period would follow Federal Register publication before any final rule could be considered.

Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru will revise its passenger charges from September 1, 2026, for tickets issued on or after that date. Departing passengers will see lower User Development Fees (UDF): the domestic charge will fall from ₹550 to ₹300, while the international charge will drop from ₹1,500 to ₹997. At the same time, arriving passengers will face a new charge for the first time: ₹125 for domestic arrivals and ₹426 for international arrivals. The revised charges will not apply to children under 2, diplomatic passport holders, crew travelling on duty, or transit passengers continuing their journey within 24 hours on the same ticket.

China has expanded its 240-hour, or 10-day, visa-free transit program to 57 countries, with Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam added to the eligible list from August 20, 2026. The transit exemption allows eligible nationals to use the visa-free transit arrangement when travelling through China, subject to the applicable program conditions. However, Indian passport holders are not included in the 57-country list. For Indian travellers transiting through China, the 240-hour visa-free transit exemption therefore does not apply. They should continue to obtain the appropriate Chinese visa or travel authorization required for their specific journey before departure.
