Oman New Free 14-Day Tourist Visa 2026 | What Indian Travellers Need to Know

Image
Oman has introduced a new free 14-day tourist visa under Royal Oman Police Decision No. 109/2026, effective from August 2, 2026. The new visa category allows eligible visitors to stay in Oman for up to 14 days without a visa fee. One key feature of this new visa is that eligible visitors may convert it into another tourist visa category before expiry. However, this visa cannot be converted into an Omani residency visa. At present, Oman has not yet published the official list of nationalities eligible for this new free tourist visa. Reports claiming that Indian passport holders are automatically eligible based on having a US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, or Schengen visa are referring to a separate existing 14-day entry arrangement for travellers holding qualifying Western visas, not the newly introduced decision. Until the official eligibility list is released, Indian travellers should continue following the existing applicable Oman entry options, including the Western-visa-based 14-d...

The Job Was Checked Before You Applied | Why Transparency Matters in Overseas Recruitment

Image
A genuine overseas job opportunity involves more than a vacancy announcement. Before a recruitment opportunity reaches candidates, proper verification and assessment help ensure that the employer, workplace, and employment conditions are reliable. This process may include checking the employer's licence status, reviewing contract terms, understanding compliance with local labour requirements, and gathering feedback from workers already placed at the site. These steps help provide better clarity about salary practices, accommodation conditions, and whether the actual work matches the offered position. In overseas recruitment, trust is built through transparent processes and responsible verification. A genuine opportunity is not defined only by attractive images or promises, but by the checks completed before candidates make important career decisions. Recruitment Transparency Series

South Africa Visa-Free Entry for 22 African Countries | Existing Policy Explained

Image
South Africa continues to maintain a visa exemption policy for citizens of 22 African countries, allowing eligible travellers to enter for tourism, business, or short visits without obtaining a visa before travel. The policy applies to selected African nationalities, including Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, and others. The permitted duration of stay varies between 30 and 90 days depending on nationality and passport type. Although the arrangement has recently received renewed attention, it is not a newly introduced policy. It is an existing long-term visa exemption system maintained by South Africa's Department of Home Affairs. This exemption does not apply to Indian passport holders. Indian travellers visiting South Africa must continue following the applicable visa or Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) process before departure. Travellers should verify the latest requirements through official South African immigration sources before making travel plans. ...

Mozambique Restores ETA for 29 Visa-Exempt Countries | No Change for Indian Travellers

Image
Mozambique has reinstated its mandatory Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) requirement for citizens of 29 visa-exempt countries, effective July 31, 2026. The system had been suspended since 2025 because of technical issues and has now resumed following the introduction of a new VFS Global-supported digital visa platform launched in February 2026. The ETA requirement applies only to nationals of the 29 visa-exempt countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and several European countries. An approved ETA allows a single entry and a stay of up to 30 days. There is no change for Indian travellers. India is not included in the list of 29 visa-exempt countries, so Indian passport holders must continue obtaining a Mozambique eVisa before departure through the same digital platform. Travellers should also note that airlines are expected to verify valid travel authorization before boarding. To avoid last-minute travel disruptions, applica...
