Oman New Free 14-Day Tourist Visa 2026 | What Indian Travellers Need to Know
Oman has introduced a new free 14-day tourist visa under Royal Oman Police Decision No. 109/2026, effective from August 2, 2026. The new visa category allows eligible visitors to stay in Oman for up to 14 days without a visa fee. One key feature of this new visa is that eligible visitors may convert it into another tourist visa category before expiry. However, this visa cannot be converted into an Omani residency visa. At present, Oman has not yet published the official list of nationalities eligible for this new free tourist visa. Reports claiming that Indian passport holders are automatically eligible based on having a US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, or Schengen visa are referring to a separate existing 14-day entry arrangement for travellers holding qualifying Western visas, not the newly introduced decision.
