Croatia Work Permit Update 2026 | Form 18a Medical Requirement for Indian Applicants Before Travel

Foreign nationals from visa-required countries, including India, applying for their first Croatian work permit must complete mandatory pre-departure medical examinations and submit Form 18a before travelling to Croatia. The Croatian Institute of Public Health has reminded employers and recruitment agencies that the Certificate of Health Status and Vaccination Status (Form 18a) is a required part of the residence and work permit application process. Without the completed form, Croatia will not process the application. The form must be completed in English in the applicant’s home country and includes medical requirements such as a chest X-ray conducted within 3 months, laboratory tests confirming the absence of Salmonella Typhi/Paratyphi within 3 months, tuberculosis status confirmation, and vaccination records for diphtheria, tetanus, polio, and measles.
