United Airlines Adds New Japan Routes for 2027: San Francisco–Okinawa & Los Angeles–Osaka

United Airlines is launching 10 new international routes for summer 2027, with Japan receiving two important additions.

From March 27, 2027, United will launch San Francisco–Okinawa service three times weekly using a Boeing 777-200ER. On the same day, daily Los Angeles–Osaka service will begin, giving travellers nonstop Osaka access from both US coasts.

The remaining new routes are mainly between Newark and European destinations, including Luxembourg, Ibiza, Marseille, Ljubljana and Valencia. These additions are particularly useful for travellers connecting through United's US hubs to secondary European cities.
